Individualised Living Options (ILO) Newcastle, Maitland & the Hunter
Your Space. Your Way. Your Life.
Your home should feel like you. A place that reflects your life, your choices and your goals. That’s why our Individualised Living Options (ILO) are designed to help you live on your own terms, with dignity, freedom, and just the right support.
At LOMA Care, we’re here to make it simple, clear, and tailored to you. We’re happy to review your plan with you.
Your day to day
ILO is flexible NDIS support designed for people who want to live independently in the community with just the right amount of support around them.
That might look like living alone with a support worker who checks in regularly, sharing a home with someone you choose, or a host arrangement where support is built into the way you live. Every setup is shaped entirely around you.
There's no standard model. Just yours.

Is ILO right for you?
If you don't need round the clock support but want to live as independently as possible, in your own space, on your own terms, ILO could be exactly what you're looking for.
If you're ready to take that next step toward independent living, we're here to give you the flexibility, the reassurance and the support to make it happen on your own terms.

We build it around you
Every ILO arrangement at LOMA Care starts with a genuine conversation. We want to understand your goals, your lifestyle and what independence looks like for you specifically.
From there we match your support team by personality, interests and preferences. We introduce you to them before day one and as your life evolves, your support evolves with it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ILO with LOMA Care.
How is ILO funded?
ILO is funded through your NDIS plan. You don't need special ILO funding, if you have daily support funded in your plan, that's often enough to get started. We don't need to see your plan upfront, but we're always happy to review it with you and explore what's possible.
How many support hours do I need to be eligible for ILO?
Generally speaking, if you have at least 6 hours of daily support funded in your NDIS plan there's a good foundation to build an ILO arrangement from. This will depend on your individual support needs and goals. Not sure what's in your plan? We're happy to help you work through it.
What types of ILO arrangements are available?
ILO is flexible by design. It can look like a host arrangement where you live with a support person, a co-residency where you share a home with a housemate and have support nearby, or a more independent arrangement with a support worker who checks in regularly. We'll work with you to find what fits.
What's the difference between ILO and SIL?
SIL is designed for people who need support most or all of the time. ILO is for people who need some support but want to live more independently, without round the clock assistance. Not sure which is right for you? We're happy to talk it through.
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
Yes, and it matters. As a registered provider, we're independently audited, held to a higher standard, and fully accountable for the support we deliver. A lot of providers aren't registered, which means they operate without that level of oversight. You deserve to know who's responsible for your care.
What if my needs change over time?
ILO is built for flexibility. As your goals evolve and your independence grows, your support arrangement can evolve with it. We'll check in regularly and adjust as needed, always with your input.
